The date fast approaches when Matt and I begin our 90+ day field expedition spanning the Cascades and Rockies. On Tuesday of next week I will do some fun science outreach at White Pass High School in Randle, WA. On Wednesday, I will make a quick 3-day up to British Columbia to visit a single Saxifraga site near the Dog Creek Post Office. After attending the joyous wedding of Jessica and Seth, Matt and I will depart June 22 for Idaho, and onwards.
Here is our general timeline

Good luck DeChaine lab. Eric, our adviser, heads to Japan. Sam heads to the Olympic Peninsula and Vancouver Island. Barry, Mackenzie, and Alicia head to the Yukon. Mia is working at Mount Rainier and Hannah in Yosemite, climbing classics and being a biologist. Caleb, what’s your plan, writing a book on the phylogeny of fungus?

I love these wacky botanists. Eric, Sam, Barry, Mia, Hannah, Alicia, and Caleb you all rock! Oh and you too Mack.
